My name is Nikola Dušmanić and I have 20 years of experience playing drums, and over the past few years, I have recorded the drums for hundreds of songs and numerous albums, especially within the realm of black metal.

Nikola Dušmanić is a professional musician from Serbia and the owner of Ezoterik Studio, where he collaborates with worldwide artists. He is also official mixing and mastering engineer for Darkside Records.
He developed his skills performing with local tribute Punk, Rock and Metal bands and gained recognition with the renowned Black Metal band The Stone as live session drummer. Over the years, he mastered various metal subgenres while staying versatile across genres.
Currently, Nikola has dedicated his career to being a professional remote session drummer, mixing and mastering engineer.

My drum brand and setup
I play and proudly endorse W.odd Custom Drums. My drums are handmade from high-quality Walnut, Ash, and Abonos wood, utilizing a segmented shell system. The kit includes 10"x7" and 12"x8" toms, a 16"x14" floor tom, and a 22"x18" kick drum. Fat and rich sound with plenty of attack!
About Ezoterik Studio
It's fully equipped with professional-grade instruments and gear, meticulously designed to deliver the optimum drum sound. The recording space features wooden walls, strategically placed books, diffusers, and acoustic panels, all contributing to a natural, reverberant, and open sound.

Cymbal Setup
I use a combination of Istanbul Mehmet cymbals (Radiant and IMC series) and Meinl cymbals (Classic Custom Extreme Metal and Mb8 series), along with various other cymbals, to achieve the perfect combination for recording various genres.

The choice of microphones I use on drums varies from project to project, but in my arsenal, I have the following: AKG D112, Shure SM57, Audix i5, Electro Voice PL37, Shure PGA57, 3xShure PGA56, AKG P120, Rode M5 (Stereo Pair)
