I will build a custom mcp server that connects claude to your data or API

About this gig
Your team uses Claude, but can it see your data? A custom MCP server lets Claude Desktop or Claude Code answer plain-English questions from your own files, spreadsheet, database or a documented API.
What you get
- A Python MCP server for your data, with clearly described tools.
- - Read-only by default. A tool that changes data shows a preview first and acts only on a second, confirmed call.
- - Tests on the sample data you send, and a run guide for Claude Desktop or Claude Code. I build and test on Windows.
How it works
You send a sample export or schema (fake or masked data is fine) and your questions. I build and test against that, and you run the final check with your real data. For an API I work from its public docs and recorded sample responses; the first live call runs on your machine.
Your keys stay with you
I never log in to your systems or see your passwords or keys; you add keys to the Claude config on your computer.
Not included: hosting, scraping sites that forbid it, or tools that post or send for you.
I use AI-assisted tools to write and test the code, and check every tool against your samples myself.

FAQ
What is an MCP server?
A small program that gives Claude new tools. Once it is added to Claude Desktop or Claude Code, you ask questions in plain English and Claude calls the tools to read your data. It runs on your own computer.
Do you host it?
No. It runs on your computer, started by Claude Desktop or Claude Code. Hosting it on a server for a team is not included; message me first and I tell you what it would take.
Do you need my passwords or API keys?
No. I build against your sample data or the API's public documentation. You put a key in the env block of the Claude config entry on your computer; the server reads it there and it never comes to me. I never log in to your systems.
Is my data shared?
Samples you send are processed with AI-assisted tools (Claude, by Anthropic) and used only for your order. I delete my copies after delivery; Fiverr keeps the order's own attachments. Send fake or masked samples if you cannot share real ones.
What if it does not work on my computer?
One troubleshooting round is included: send the error message and I fix the server. Installing Python or Claude on your machine is not a revision, but the run guide walks you through it.
Does it work with ChatGPT, Cursor or other MCP clients?
I build and test with Claude Desktop and Claude Code. MCP is an open standard that other clients also support, but I have not tested them, so ask first if you need one.
Can I see a working example first?
Yes. The gallery shows real tool calls on a made-up shop database: an example question, the tools Claude calls and their real results. Message me and I describe the tools I would build for your data before you order.
Which databases and files can it read?
The gallery demo runs on SQLite. CSV, Excel, JSON and text files use the same pattern. PostgreSQL or MySQL are built from your schema and a sample export, and you run the final check on your machine; ask first.
Can a tool change my data?
Only if you ask. Read-only is the default. On Standard and up, a write tool first shows a preview of the change and acts only on a second call with your confirmation.
Do I get the source code?
Yes. You get the plain Python source and a README (tests on Standard and up), with no license lock. You can read it, change it or hand it to another developer.
