What is your rate for research
This depends largely on the scope of the project. For a single day in the archive I charge $75 flat rate. For longer time or bigger projects anywhere from $100-$500 and hour depending on the project.
How quickly can you find what I want?
If the document is relatively common -- such as Civil War pension records or ship manifests -- I can find it within a day, digitize, label, and send to you within that day.
What if I don't know exactly what I am looking for or who I am looking for?

How do you track time in the archive and the work you do?
I use a program called jibble that tracks time, tasks, and work done.
