I am a mechanical design engineer with over six years of experience in engineering and manufacturing environments. I have designed components for a wide range of applications, with a focus on creating practical, manufacturable designs.
This gig is for the design of a single mechanical component, taking your idea, sketch, drawing or requirements and turning it into a professional 3D CAD model ready for manufacture.
Depending on your requirements, I can provide:
- A complete 3D CAD model suitable for CAD/CAM applications
- High-quality 3D renders of your component
- Manufacturing drawings, if required
- Designs suitable for 3D printing, CNC machining, injection moulding and other manufacturing processes
If you need advice on how to manufacture your component, I can also help you select a suitable manufacturing process and develop the design accordingly.

What do you need from me to start?
Any information you have is useful, including sketches, drawings, dimensions, photographs, existing CAD files, material requirements or examples of similar parts. If you only have an idea, please contact me first so we can discuss your requirements.
Can you work from a sketch or hand-drawn drawing?
Yes. I can turn sketches, drawings, photographs and measurements into a professional 3D CAD model. The more information you can provide, the more accurately I can interpret your requirements.
What file formats can you provide?
We provide files in STEP, IGES, STL, DXF, DWG and native CAD file formats
Can you provide manufacturing drawings?
Yes. Manufacturing drawings can be provided where required, this option can be selected as an additional cost, the manufacturing drawings include dimensions, tolerances, materials and other relevant manufacturing information.
Can you design parts for 3D printing, CNC machining or injection moulding?
Yes. I can develop designs with the intended manufacturing process in mind, helping ensure the component is practical and manufacturable.
Can you help me choose a manufacturing process?
Yes. If you are unsure how your component should be manufactured, I can provide engineering guidance on suitable manufacturing methods based on the design, quantity, material and intended application.
Can you modify an existing CAD model?
Yes. I can modify, improve or adapt existing CAD models. Please contact me before ordering so I can review the files and requirements as sometimes it is quicker and easier to recreate the file.
Can you design more than one component?
This gig is intended for a single component. If you require multiple components or a complete assembly, please contact me first and I can provide a custom offer based on your requirements.
