FAQ
How much does a fundamentals course take?
Everyone learns at a different pace, and it also depends on if you prefer to have more of a hands-on style, or just me talking. Usually, for a normal course it takes about 5-6 lessons. This way, first two are modeling, then modifiers, materials and finally rendering.
Do you do characters?
No, not to it's maximum extent. Unfortunately, I don't have any knowledge of anatomy. However, what I can teach is how the technical side works. I can show you how all the Bender tools work, and give you the resources to unleash your creativity.
How are the lessons organized
The lessons will be specific for your needs. The most common format is for me to explain some tools/techniques, and then for you to attempt to use them, consolidating the knowledge. This will also help to give you independence, knowing the tools is ok, but knowing when and how to use them is the key
What software and hardware requirements should I have before starting the lessons?
Blender is free. About hardware, I do recommend having a computer with decent hardware if you want to do rendering. The best hardware that you'll find is on gaming computers, but some regular laptops will also do the job for the basics. You can always message me and I'll see what we can do.
Can I book multiple sessions in one day?
Yes, that's not a problem. I adapt to your situation and deadlines. However, I do recommend to message me and ask for the availability at the time.
Are the sessions suitable for complete beginners with no prior 3D experience?
Totally. The sessions are tailored to your needs and I adapt to your prior knowledge.
Do you offer follow-up support after the lessons are completed?
Yes. I'm always open to a message if you have any problems with the contents, doubts after, problems with your personal projects, etc.
Do you provide guidance on exporting models to game engines like Unreal Engine or Unity?
Yes, without a problem. I do have some previous experience in game development as well, and having used both of those engines, I am confident to provide any help with exporting the models/textures from Blender.
Do you teach texturing with Substance Painter?
I do. Keep in mind, though, that my expertise with Substance doesn't math the one that I have in Blender. However, I promise that I will do my best.
