About this gig
Hi, I'm a Leb. I am a professional book designer and self-publishing specialist. Since 2010, I’ve designed, formatted, and helped publish over 2000 books with many self-published authors on both Amazon KDP and IngramSpark including more than 450 Children’s books.
After learning that there are still many new authors struggling to get their children’s books published efficiently, I created this specific gig to provide my professional design and publishing Children’s book services.
I know the process thoroughly and keep myself updated with the rules and formatting requirements of the self-publishing platforms. I will work with you until you are 100% satisfied.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Final Manuscript
- Your illustration files (PSD source files if possible)
- ISBN (1 each for each format)
- Trim size
Once I receive your order, I will start designing and show you a few drafts and upon your approval, I'll proceed and complete the whole book. And then we will review them together before I deliver the final files to you.

What is a trim size?
The final size of a printed book is the trim size. In other words, the actual size of the book is called Trim Size of the book. Eg. 5x8, 5.5x8.5, 6x9, 8x10, 8.5x11, etc.
What is the Manuscript of a book?
The content of the book to be fit into the book. In other words, it's the whole writeup of the book.
What are Print guidelines?
Measurements to ensure top-notch printing | Trim Line: Where the printer will cut your image | Bleed: The area beyond the trim line that extends printing to the edge | Safety Line: The border that contains all printable text.
What is Layout Design?
The layout is tough to define. Think of it as the way your content appears on the page. Including the font, size, spacing, and justification of your text. Your image placement. The margins. The Header and Footer. Page numbers. There’s a lot going on with the Layout.
What is Resolution of an image?
The amount of pixel detail in an image | Low resolution: Few pixels make the image pixelated | High resolution: Many pixels make the image sharp.
What if I don't have the PSD Source files?
Just send me the final illustrated files in PNG or JPG.
What is a PSD source file?
The editable original file that the illustrator created usually in Photoshop (PSD) is called the PSD source files. Source file can also be other formats eg. AI (Illustrator file format)
How do I upload the huge illustration files?
You can send the files through Wetransfer.com or Dropbox.com. Make sure you zip up the folder for easy upload and download.
What if I don't know my book's details?
If you are you sure about the trim size or anything about your book, just send me a message and I'll gladly help you.
