I will backtest your trading strategy in python with walk forward validation
About this Gig
Validate your trading strategy on real data before you risk a cent. I'm a Python quant developer you provide the rules, I build the backtest and report honestly how it performs.
What you get:
A vectorized backtest of your exact rules, followed to the letter
Clear metrics: total & annualized return, Sharpe, max drawdown, win rate, profit factor, equity curve
Standard/Premium: walk-forward analysis + overfitting and robustness checks, so results hold out of sample
A readable PDF report with charts (commented source on Premium)
Why me: strong Python, quantitative analysis and scikit-learn. Stocks, crypto, forex, futures any timeframe from 1-minute to weekly.
How it works:
- Message me with your strategy and market/timeframe
- I confirm scope and data
- I build, test, and document
- You get the report and a walkthrough
I need: your entry/exit rules and any data you have (or I source it via API).
This is a software and validation service you own the strategy. No profit, return, or win-rate promises, and nothing here is financial advice. Past results never guarantee future performance.
Message me before ordering so we can scope it right.

FAQ
Do you guarantee the strategy will be profitable?
No — and be cautious of anyone who does. I report honest performance metrics so you can decide for yourself. This is validation, not a promise, and nothing here is financial advice.
Will you follow my rules exactly?
Yes. I code your entry/exit rules to the letter and flag any ambiguity before I start. Buyers often find an apparent "discrepancy" is actually a gap in their own manual testing — I'll show you exactly where.
Which markets and timeframes do you cover?
Stocks, crypto, and forex, from 1-minute to weekly bars. I can source historical data via API if you don't have it.
What's the difference between Basic and Standard?
Basic is a straight backtest with a full metrics report. Standard adds walk-forward analysis and overfitting/robustness checks — the part that tells you whether results are likely to survive on unseen data.
Do I get the code?
Commented source is included on Premium (or as an add-on). You own the deliverable either way.
Can you improve a strategy that underperforms?
I can test variations and stress the parameters (Premium), and report what I find — but I won't invent a "winning" system or make performance claims.
