What information do you need to get started on my cover design?
Besides being familiar with your story, I need to know your book's title, subtitle (if it has one), the author's name, the cover trim size (dimensions), the exact number of pages and any back cover text that you would potentially plan to use on the cover.
Are your covers ready for upload to Amazon, Ingramspark and other platforms?
Yes, 99% of authors I work with publish on these platforms so your book cover files will be ready for easy upload and approval by all major publishers and self-publishing platforms.
What if I am still writing my book? Can I order if my book is not finished yet?
Absolutely. If your aim is to have your cover prepared by the time you've completed your writing, we can make that happen, provided we establish a solid grasp of how the concept should effectively convey your story.
Do you use AI to generate art for your covers?
I do not solely rely on it for my covers. However, it is a necessary tool for complex illustrative tasks and some elements may not be achievable without it. If you have preferences regarding AI use, please reach out to me BEFORE placing the order. Otherwise, it may be used in your cover design.
What is a source file?
The source file is the original, editable design file I create in Photoshop (PSD). Unlike the final JPG or PDF, which are “flat” images you can only view or print, the source file contains all the separate layers (text, images, effects, etc.) so that the design can be edited in the future.
