### Project description *

I built a small terminal utility to test whether a Linux host can establish a TCP connection to a specified hostname or IP address and port. It can help narrow down basic connectivity problems involving common database and application ports, including PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, and Redis. The test confirms TCP reachability only; it does not authenticate to a database, run a query, or verify application-level health.
