I will design flexible pcb and iot wearable sensor integration prototype
Professional PCB Design Embedded Hardware Engineer
About this Gig
I'M GLAD YOU FOUND MY GIG!
I design and develop flexible PCB (rigid-flex) circuits for IoT wearable electronics, combining electrical engineering with real hands on sensor integration experience from concept sketch to a functional, wearable prototype.
Whether you're a startup founder, student/researcher, or medtech innovator, I help you avoid the common pitfalls that make wearable prototypes fail cracked traces, poor sensor accuracy, and short battery life by designing it right from the first schematic.
What I can deliver:
- Flexible / rigid-flex PCB schematic & layout design (Altium, KiCad, Eagle)
- IoT wearable sensor integration: PPG (heart rate), ECG, accelerometer/gyro, temperature, EMG
- BLE / wireless connectivity design (low-power, IoT-ready)
- Stretchable trace routing (serpentine/horseshoe patterns) for skin-worn devices
- Rigid-island + flex-zone architecture for wrist, patch, or textile-based wearables
- Battery/power budget planning for long wear-time IoT devices
Have an idea but not sure where to start?
- Message me before ordering I'll help scope your wearable concept (sensor type, form factor, power needs) so you order the right package the first time.

FAQ
I don't have technical drawings or a finished idea can you still help?
Yes. Many buyers come with just a concept (e.g., "a wristband that tracks heart rate"). Message me with your idea and I'll help scope the sensor type, form factor, and connectivity before you order.
What software do you use for flex PCB design?
Altium Designer, KiCad, or Eagle depending on your preference or what your manufacturer requires. Let me know if you need a specific format.
Will I receive fabrication-ready files?
Yes, Standard and Premium packages include Gerber files, BOM, and DFM (design-for-manufacturing) checks so you can send the design straight to a PCB fabricator.
Do you also handle the firmware/microcontroller code?
Basic firmware support is available as an add on. For complex embedded software (custom algorithms, app integration), let's discuss scope separately.
Can you help with sensors like ECG, PPG, or EMG specifically?
Yes, these are among my core focus areas including motion artifact considerations, which are common failure points in wearable biosensor designs.
What if my design needs to actually stretch, not just bend?
Let me know upfront stretchable design (serpentine trace routing) is different from standard flex PCB design and is scoped separately, usually under the Premium package.
Do you provide a working physical prototype, or only design files?
I provide the design files (schematic, layout, Gerbers) ready for fabrication. I can recommend fabrication/assembly partners, but physical build/assembly is not included unless discussed as a custom add-on.
How many revisions are included?
Basic includes minor layout adjustments. Standard includes 1 revision round. Premium includes 2 revision rounds. Extra revisions can be added for $25 each.
What do you need from me to get started?
Your wearable concept, target sensor(s), preferred connectivity (BLE/Wi-Fi), power/battery expectations, and any reference files or datasheets you already have.
Can this be used for a student project or thesis?
Yes I can also help align the design with academic requirements (documentation, novelty framing, testing methodology) if it's for a research or capstone project.
