What file formats can you convert from and to?
I can work with STL, OBJ, PLY, and raw 3D scan or point cloud data as input. Output formats include STEP, IGES, Fusion 360 native .f3d, and STL plus SolidWorks or Inventor on request. STEP files are universally compatible with most CAD software.
Will the CAD model be fully parametric and editable?
Yes. I don't just wrap a surface around your mesh I rebuild the geometry from scratch using Fusion 360's feature based modeling (extrudes, revolves, fillets, etc.), so you get a true parametric model with an editable feature tree, not a dumb solid.
What quality of STL or scan data do you need from me?
Higher resolution scans give more accurate results, but I can work with moderate quality STL files or scans too. If there's noise, holes, or missing geometry, I'll clean and repair the mesh before reverse engineering it into CAD.
How accurate will the final CAD model be compared to my original part?
