FAQ
Will Apple reject my Lovable or Base44 app as a "website in a box" (Guideline 4.2)?
This is the biggest risk, and I can't promise approval. I add real native features (push, deep links, native sign-in, camera or file access where it fits) and review your app against Apple's guidelines before I submit.
Do I need a Mac or Xcode to get an iOS app built and uploaded?
No. I build and sign the iOS app with cloud build tools and upload it through App Store Connect. You only need an Apple Developer account, and I only need role-based access, never your password.
Will my Supabase or Base44 login and database still work inside the app?
Yes. I test email, magic link and Google login inside the mobile build, because OAuth redirects often break in wrappers. I fix redirect URLs and session issues. Backend changes beyond that are quoted separately.
My app shows a white screen or crashes on a phone. Can you fix it?
Usually yes. Common causes are routing, redirect URLs, environment variables and security headers. Send me your link before ordering and I'll tell you whether it's a quick fix or a bigger job.
Do I need Sign in with Apple and account deletion?
If your app offers Google or other third-party login, Apple generally requires an equivalent option such as Sign in with Apple (Guideline 4.8). If users can create accounts, in-app account deletion is required (5.1.1v). Premium includes both.
Which accounts do I need, and who owns the app?
You own everything. Apple Developer ($99/year) and Google Play ($25 one-time) accounts go in your name, and I get role-based access. You receive the source code, signing keys and store listings. Company accounts may need a D-U-N-S number.
How long does it take, including store review?
The build takes 3-10 days depending on the package. Apple review is usually 1-3 days and Google a few days, but it varies. New personal Google Play accounts may need a closed test first, and I'll guide you through Google's current rules.
What happens if my app is rejected after submission?
Send me the rejection message. I'll identify the guideline, fix the issue and resubmit. Premium includes one rejection fix round, and you can buy more as an extra. If a rejection needs changes to your content or business model, I'll tell you honestly.
Can you add in-app purchases or push notifications? Does Stripe still work?
Yes, both are available (push via Firebase and APNs, purchases via StoreKit or RevenueCat). Apple requires in-app purchase for digital goods and subscriptions, so Stripe checkout for those can cause rejection. Physical goods and services can keep Stripe.
Will the app update automatically when I change my Lovable or Base44 site?
It depends on the setup. A bundled build needs a new store release for each update. A live-URL setup updates instantly but raises Apple review risk. I recommend the safer option for your app and explain how to update it at handover.
