Do I need custom code, or can Sharetribe do this natively?
Often Sharetribe’s built in tools are enough, including price negotiation and approval workflows. I review your case first and tell you honestly. If code is needed, I scope exactly what.
What does custom code cost on Sharetribe’s side?
Custom code and full API access are included on both plans. Build is $39 per month while building, and Live is $259 per month or $199 billed yearly. There are no transaction fees. Sharetribe bills you directly.
Will my customizations survive Sharetribe updates?
I follow Sharetribe’s recommended customization practices to minimize conflicts. No custom code is ever fully update-proof, but proper structure makes it far easier to carry forward when Sharetribe releases new features.
Can you add Stripe Connect or split payments to my marketplace?
Yes. I set up Stripe Connect, payouts, and commission splits, or work with your current setup if switching is not right for you. I test the full flow with test payments before release.
How do you protect my live marketplace while building?
I develop and test changes on a separate test marketplace first, using test payments. I release to your live marketplace only after you approve the result.
How long does a custom feature take?
A single feature takes 3 days, up to 3 features take 7 days, and a complex transaction flow takes 14 days. Faster delivery is available on each package.
Do you need admin access to my marketplace?
Yes. I need Console access, and for some tasks your codebase and accounts like Stripe. I only ask for what the specific task needs.
My marketplace was built by another developer. Can you work on it?
Yes. I review the existing code first, then extend or fix it without rebuilding from scratch.
Do you offer support after delivery?
Yes. I offer maintenance and support after delivery, including keeping your customizations working through Sharetribe updates.
Can you build my marketplace in Arabic or Chinese?
Yes. I translate the interface, emails, and pages, including Arabic with right to left layout and Traditional Chinese for Hong Kong. Arabic layout and fonts need custom code, so I scope it as a custom feature.
