I have been writing lyrics for 5 years now.
What do you know about writing hit songs?
I understand in today's genre of music, repetition is key to a catchy rap song. However, you must also make sure your song is not a hollow catchphrase, it cannot lack soul or life experience in the lyrics, or the listener will tune out quickly as if it were just another underground Soundcloud song.
What if I do not have a specific topic in mind?
That is okay! Not every song needs to be story driven or complicated. Sometimes simplicity and catchy lines in a song are enough, so long as the lines are true to you.
