Your world will need more than people and a few cities to feel real. It needs a story, places that are alive and interesting items to make the group look forward for the next loot.

Why so much effort into worldbuilding?

Because that's key to make the players feel like there's a world beyond their actions. That makes it not only more immersive, but also more fun. It invites the players to react to this world and then create on it, making it a mosaic of your ideas as a group.

Items are a great way to reward players and is often one of the main ways they express themselves. Giving them misterious, powerful and interesting items is a great way to keep them invested.

And places are fantastic for storytelling! Specially when the place has not only looks and feel, but also a story of its own. Giving depth to places is guaranteed to improve your story.

Why me?

I've been a TTRPG GM for about a decade and in the last 5 years I've incorporated game design techniques and took creative writing classes to add to it. I've even GM'd professionally in the past!

I love creative writing and I think this love really improves the results!
