Your model must be modeled with an appropriate topology.

A three-dimensional model does not have a regular topology,

- generating correct uv coordinates

- creating texture

- in animation

- at render stage

- when trying to run the model in a game engine (like Unity or Unreal)

poses serious problems.

In a model with a regular topology,

- edge streams should look fine (depending on model shape)

- all polygons must be "quad"

- no edge flows that don't contribute to the shape of the model if "subdivision" is not used

- Absolutely no "ngon"

- Must not contain "Non Manifold Geometry" error

- Even if a triangular gons has to be used, it should be applied on the parallel surfaces of the model.
