I will proofread and edit your german text

Standard proofreading corrects grammar, spelling, punctuation, minor readability issues, and obvious awkward phrasing in German text written or translated by a person. It does not include a bilingual source comparison, extensive rewriting, fact-checking, or a separate report.

Standard proofreading does not include checking a translation against its source, repairing machine or AI output, rewriting whole passages, fact-checking, plagiarism checks, AI detection, formatting, or a written quality assessment. Contact me if you need an additional service.

Choose Human-Written German for text created by a person, Machine Translation Review for output from a dedicated translation tool, and AI Translation Rework for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar models. If unsure, message me with a sample before ordering.

Proofreading fixes surface-level language issues in an already sound text. AI translations can change meaning, omit information, add unsupported content, or introduce logical and terminology errors. They therefore require a full bilingual review and substantially more work.

For Human-Written German, the German document is normally sufficient. For Machine Translation Review and AI Translation Rework, provide the complete source text and German version as separate editable files in the same order.

Not by default. Add the $10 Quality Report extra for a concise written assessment of the main issues, recurring patterns, and overall text quality. It is not a line-by-line error log, fact-check, or certification.

I work primarily with editable DOCX and XLSX files. For translated projects, send the source and German version as separate files with matching structure. PDFs, design files, websites, code, and external platforms require prior discussion.

Delivery time depends on the word count, text quality, and my current schedule. The package deadline applies only to the included 1,000 words. Please contact me before ordering a larger project or requesting a specific deadline.

Yes. I treat all supplied materials confidentially and handle them in accordance with Fiverr's Terms of Service. I do not outsource the work or share customer files as samples.

Each package includes one revision for corrections within the agreed scope. New text, changed source material, alternative stylistic directions, or requirements added after delivery are not revisions and may require a separate offer.
