Duplicate removal and validation: I find and merge duplicate records, flag rows that break your rules (missing fields, malformed addresses, impossible dates) and hand back both the cleaned file and a short list of what changed.
Excel and CSV cleanup: I take a messy export and return a tidy file with consistent columns, standardised dates and numbers, trimmed whitespace and no stray formatting.
Agreed scope first: before I start, we confirm in writing exactly which files, how many rows, and what the output should look like.
Checked before delivery: every file is validated against the rules we agreed - row counts, required fields, formats, duplicates - before it comes back to you.

- Not included: fuzzy or probabilistic matching, and merging two partial rows into one
- Not included: choosing which of two conflicting values is correct - those are reported to you

FAQ
How do you decide that two rows are the same?
Exact match once spacing is ignored. Rows that only look similar are left alone and listed for you, because deciding whether they are really the same record is your call, not mine.
How will I know what changed?
Every job comes back with the cleaned file and a short summary: rows in, rows out, exact repeats removed, empty cells found, and any row whose structure broke, named by row number.
What file types can you work with?
CSV files and Excel workbooks. Digital files only - I do not work from scans or photographs of a document.
Do you change my original file?
No. The original is never written to. You get a new file back and keep the one you sent.
