I will file a statement of use

You have filed an Application for US Federal Trademark Registration on the basis of a good faith Intent to Use the trademark in interstate commerce. Great! The US Patent and Trademark Office offers this great opportunity to entrepreneurs, so that they can start protecting their brands even during the organizational phase, before actual use of the trademark. This will prevent that, once the business is ready to be launched, one finds out that the same or similar trademark has been filed for registration by someone else, and it is too late to file and obtain registration! 

Nevertheless, when you file an application for trademark registration on the basis of "Intent to Use", you cannot obtain registration until you prove to the USPTO that you have started using the trademark in Interstate Commerce. 

Here is when the Statement of Use comes into play, and must be filed within 6 months from the Notice of Allowance, unless a Request of an Extension of Time to file the Statement of Use is filed.
