I have developed an easy-to-use Microsoft Excel spreadsheet anyone can use to find the best loan refinance option for you. Use this calculator to compare different bank's offers to find the best refinance deal for your mortgage loans, student loans, or any other type of loan!

Simply enter your existing loan information (original loan amount, rate, term) as well as the Bank's refinance loan offer (new loan amount, rate, term, closing costs, points) and the spreadsheet will calculate the following results before and after refinancing:

• Monthly payment (principal + interest) and savings
• Refinance loan APR (which takes into consideration loan closing costs). *Rule-of-thumb: choose loan with lowest APR, not rate.
• Time to breakeven on closing costs
• Total interest paid over the life of the loan
• Total interest paid if additional principal payments are made (allows you to choose the additional payment amount and frequency)
• Monthly and Total Savings
• Payoff date
• Number of years to payoff the loan
• Your age when the loan is paid off

Additionally, the spreadsheet includes Amortization Schedules for both the Original and Refinance loan so you can see how the loans get paid down over time.
