Your EA works on MetaTrader 4, but your broker moved to MT5, or you want the newer tester and more symbols. I port the code so it behaves the same on the new platform.
WHY THIS IS NOT COPY AND PASTE
MQL5 is a different language underneath. OrderSend becomes a trade request structure. Orders and positions are separate objects. A netting account merges your trades into one position, a hedging account does not. Filling modes differ per broker. An EA that ignores this compiles fine and then behaves nothing like the original.

Will the MT5 version trade exactly like my MT4 one?
Same logic, yes. Identical results, no, and nobody can promise that. MT5 uses different tick data, and a netting account merges positions where MT4 kept them apart. I show you both tester runs side by side so you can see exactly where they differ and why.
I only have the .ex4 file, not the source. Can you still do it?
No. A compiled .ex4 cannot be turned back into readable code, and I do not decompile other people's work. I need the .mq4 source. If you bought the EA, ask the seller for it - most will hand it over, especially if you explain you are moving to MT5.
Do you speak German?
Ja. Wir koennen alles auf Deutsch besprechen, und die Doku sowie den Vergleichsbericht liefere ich auf Wunsch auf Deutsch. Bei einer Portierung geht es um viele Details, da ist die eigene Sprache oft praeziser.
