About this gig
I will be your mix mentor.
Learn to mix with confidence through live one-on-one coaching. I'll guide you through EQ, compression, effects, balance, and workflow.
**Please note we will focus on what you need, so we are not guaranteed to cover every aspect, frequency, or element of the signal chain. We work till you're ready to move on. Better to master a skill, then to juggle 5 and mix them up.
This gig specializes in industrial, goth, dark wave, and electronic with principles that can be applied to other genres as well. Feel free to ask ahead of time if you have other genres or unique influences to incorporate.

I’ve been mixing, mastering, producing, and recording since 2001, starting with punk, rock, and metal bands, then expanding into live sound and hybrid analog/digital studios. Since 2011, I focus on electronic and dark music, including industrial, goth, darkwave, and EBM, while mentoring DJ/producers and performing live. I help artists craft tracks that retain atmosphere, emotion, and identity.
FAQ
Will you mix my song as we go?
No - I will do a video call with you, and guide you through doing your own mix on your DAW.
What do I need to prepare before the session?
You should have a song that you've started mixing, or at least arranged. You can upload a file or send me a soundcloud or youtube link ahead of time - this allows me to listen to it in my studio as we get started.
Which DAWs do you specialize in?
I can help you mix through any DAW, as they work on the same principles. Make sure you're comfortable navigating around the mixer section of your DAW, and using plugins and native EQ / Compression, via inserts and sends. I've used Cubase, Live, Maschine, Reaper mainly.
