Do I need to already have a WordPress site and hosting?
Not necessarily. If you already have WordPress installed, I'll work directly on your site. If you're starting from scratch, I can recommend fast, reliable hosting and help you get WordPress set up before we begin — just mention it when you reach out.
Do I need to purchase the MemberPress plugin myself?
Yes — MemberPress is a premium plugin that requires its own licence (starting around $179/year from memberpress.com). I'll guide you on which plan to buy based on your needs. My fee covers the full setup and configuration, not the plugin licence itself.
Which payment gateways do you support?
I set up Stripe, PayPal, and Authorize.net — the three gateways natively supported by MemberPress. Stripe is recommended for most clients as it supports the widest range of subscription billing options and is available in most countries.
Can you build an online course inside the membership site?
Yes. The Standard and Premium packages include MemberPress Courses, the native course builder add-on. It lets you create structured lessons with video, text, quizzes, and progress tracking — all inside WordPress without needing a separate LMS plugin like LearnDash.
Can you restrict specific pages, posts, or file downloads to members only?
Absolutely, that's one of MemberPress's core strengths. I'll configure access rules so you can restrict any combination of pages, posts, categories, custom post types, or file downloads to specific membership levels. Non-members will see a customised paywall or redirect.
Will the membership site work with my existing theme?
In most cases, yes. MemberPress integrates with virtually all well-coded WordPress themes. If there are any compatibility issues with your current theme, I'll flag them before starting and suggest solutions, whether that's a small CSS fix or a theme recommendation, at no extra charge.
Can I integrate my email marketing tool with the membership site?
Yes. MemberPress connects natively with Mailchimp, ConvertKit, ActiveCampaign, AWeber, and more.
