I will create retro 8bit pixel art animation character sprite sheets character design

About this gig
Nothing ruins an indie game faster than clunky animation. I create authentic 8-bit and 16-bit pixel art that moves with fluid, professional weight. Every frame is hand-placed to ensure your sprite sheets are clean, optimized, and ready for your engine.
What I offer:
- Character Design: From 16x16 heroes to 64x64 bosses.
- Fluid Animation: Snappy walk cycles, attacks, and smooth idles.
- Dev-Ready Assets: Spaced PNG sheets for Unity, Godot, or GameMaker.
- Retro Consistency: True NES/GameBoy palettes or modern pixel styles.
The Workflow:
- Concept: I'll send a static version to lock in the look and colors.
- Motion: Once approved, I begin the frame-by-frame pixel animation.
- Delivery: You receive organized spritesheets and high-res GIFs.
Technical Specs:
- Side-scroller, Top-down, or Isometric views.
- Transparent PNG and GIF formats.
- PSD/Aseprite source files available.
Please message me before ordering. Every character is unique, and I want to ensure the frame count fits your budget and vision perfectly!

FAQ
What information do you need to get started?
I’ll need a brief description of your character, the required canvas size (e.g., 32x32), and a list of the animations you need. If you have reference images or a specific color palette in mind, please send those over too!
Do you provide the source files?
Yes! While standard delivery includes PNG and GIF files, you can add the "Source File" extra to receive the original PSD or Aseprite file. This is highly recommended if you plan on making future color or layer tweaks.
Is your pixel art ready for game engines?
Absolutely. I deliver organized sprite sheets with consistent spacing, making them easy to slice and implement in Unity, Godot, GameMaker, or Unreal Engine. Just let me know if you have specific grid requirements.
Can you create backgrounds or UI in 8-bit style?
While this gig focuses on character animation, I do design pixel backgrounds, props, and UI elements. Message me with your project details, and I can create a custom offer that covers your entire game's visual needs.
How many frames are included in an animation?
It depends on the movement! A standard 8-bit walk cycle is usually 6-8 frames, while a simple idle might be 4. More complex combat moves require more frames. Contact me first so we can agree on the best frame count for your budget.
