Drupal 12 is due in the week of 7 December 2026, and Drupal 10 reaches end of life on 9 December: no more security fixes. I'll get your site onto a supported version, step by step, with your content intact.
What changes in Drupal 12:
- Sites must be on Drupal 11.3 or later before upgrading
- PHP 8.5 and MariaDB 10.11 or newer are required
- Several core modules move to contrib, including Contact, Ban and History
- Password hashing moves to Argon2id, which your hosting must support

- Drupal 10 sites moved to Drupal 11 first, then on to Drupal 12
- Deprecated code fixed with Drupal Rector, then reviewed by hand

Is Drupal 12 out yet?
It is due in the week of 7 December 2026. Until then I prepare your site and run the upgrade on staging, then go live once 12.0 is stable.
Do I have to move to Drupal 12 straight away?
No. Drupal 11 stays supported until 2028. If you're on Drupal 10, you need to move by 9 December, and Drupal 11 is the safe next step.
Can my hosting run Drupal 12?
It needs PHP 8.5, MariaDB 10.11 or MySQL 8.0, and Argon2id support. The readiness report checks this, and I can move you to AWS or Pantheon if needed.
Do you upgrade Drupal 7 sites?
No. This gig covers Drupal 10 and 11 sites.
