"Fit" starts with the dream, not the floor plan. Before I look at your drawing, I want to know what you were reaching for: a sanctuary, a connection to the outdoors, a room built for gathering people you love. Only then do I test the plan against it does the movement, the light, the daily function actually deliver that dream, or just look like it might?
I start by listening a short video call or email exchange about your dream for the space and your household's daily life. Only then do I get to work on the plan.
With fifty years of international architecture practice Maine, London, China, the Balkans I bring an outside eye that asks: is this design actually making your dream happen?

What exactly is a Fit review?
I look at whether your design actually delivers the dream behind it — a sanctuary, a connection to the outdoors, a room for gathering — and whether the daily movement and function support that dream, not just look like they do.
What do I need to send you?
Your existing floor plan or drawings (PDF or JPG), plus a few words on what you were hoping this space would give you. We'll cover the rest on our listening call.
How does the listening call work?
A short video call or email exchange before I look at your plan. I want to understand your household, your daily life, and the dream behind the project first.
Do you design new projects from scratch?
Yes, but not within these packages — these are reviews of an existing design. A full project includes a report, precedent images, plans, sections, elevations, 3D images and an outline specification — message me to discuss a custom scope and price.
What software do you use for markups?
I annotate directly on your submitted plan using standard PDF and image markup tools, so you don't need any special software to read or use them.
What is an architect?
The word comes from arkhi (chief) and tektōn (maker) — someone who both conceives and builds, undivided. Fifty years of practicing both sides of that word is what shapes how I read whether a design actually fits.

Where can I find inspiration for my dream?
Collect what pulls at you: There are numerous publications from ad, Architectural Record, Elle Decor, Wallpaper, This Old House, a scene from a film or show, a friend's house. A simple collage of these images is often the clearest way to describe your dream to me.
