FAQ
Do I need to already be registered on SAM.gov before we start?
No. If you're not registered yet, I'll handle that from scratch. If you already have an account, I'll review it for accuracy and compliance before we move forward.
I've bid before and lost every time — can you tell me why?
Yes. Send me your last proposal or capability statement and I'll point out exactly where it's likely falling short compliance gaps, weak positioning, missing certifications, whatever it is.
What's the difference between a capability statement and a proposal?
Your capability statement is your business's calling card — agencies and prime contractors use it to decide if you're worth considering. A proposal (RFP/RFQ/bid response) is what you submit for a specific opportunity. You need both, and they work together.
Can you help me as a subcontractor, not just a prime?
Yes. A lot of my clients start as subcontractors to build past performance before going after prime contracts. I'll position you for either path.
Do you write grant proposals too, or just contracts?
Both. Government contracts and grants are evaluated differently, and I write for each accordingly.
How fast can you turn around an RFP response?
Depends on the solicitation's complexity and deadline. Message me the details and I'll give you a realistic timeline before you order.
I don't know my NAICS code or which certifications I qualify for — is that a problem?
Not at all. That's part of what I help you figure out — the right NAICS code and whether you qualify for 8(a), WOSB, HUBZone, SDVOSB, or other certifications.
