It means that non-verbal utterances such as “uh,” or “um,” filler phrases, stutters, false starts and guffaws are not included in the completed transcript.

Fillers and stutters are included. The transcript includes all utterances, false starts, fillers (such um, uh, you know, I mean) and all slangs (e.g. gonna, kinda, sorta, coz). Strict verbatim transcription incurs an extra cost.

If you require timestamps, please select the ‘Time Reference’ extra and please specify how frequently you need the stamps (e.g., every 5 mins or every time a different speaker starts). If you require strict verbatim transcription, you can also select this under “Extras.”
