I will convert vendor files or supplier price lists to shopify or woocommerce CSV
Python developer for messy Excel, CSV and supplier product data
About this Gig
Suppliers send price lists in their own format: sizes stuck in product names, prices with commas, colours spelled three ways, and no column that matches your shop. I turn that file into a CSV your Shopify or WooCommerce store can import, and when the supplier sends a new list, I show you what changed.
What you get:
- Products mapped to your store's import format, with variants like size and colour grouped under one product
- Your price rules applied, like markup and rounding
- A match against your current catalog by SKU, showing new, changed and discontinued products
- A list of rows with missing data, like no price or no EAN, so nothing breaks the import
- A change log of everything I edited
For the next list from the same supplier, I rerun the same mapping and send you the updated import file with a report of every price that changed. That takes far less time than the first file, so it costs less too.
What I need from you: the supplier file, an export of your current products or your import template, and your price rules.
I work with Excel, CSV and Google Sheets. Scanned PDFs and pulling data from a supplier's website are custom offers, so message me first.

FAQ
Do you need access to my store?
No. I work with the supplier file and an export of your current products. You import the result yourself, and I tell you which import settings to use.
What if my supplier changes their file layout?
Small changes, like a renamed column, are covered by the Next price list extra. A completely new layout needs a new mapping, so I'll send you a custom offer first.
Can you handle products with sizes and colours?
Yes. If the supplier lists each size or colour as its own row, I group them into one product with variations. That's included from the Match and price package up.
What happens to products with missing data?
I don't make up prices or barcodes. Rows with missing data go into a separate list so you can decide what to do with them.
Do I get the script?
The Repeatable updates package includes it, with short instructions for running it on your next file. On the other packages you can add it as an extra.
Do you work with Matrixify or platforms other than Shopify and WooCommerce?
Yes. For Shopify I can also deliver the file in Matrixify format. Other platforms work too if they import products from a CSV or XML file, like BigCommerce, Wix, PrestaShop, Shopware or Magento. Send me the platform's import template and I'll map your supplier file to it.
Will the import overwrite or delete my existing products?
I check the file against an export of your current products first, and the report lists each product the import would change. I keep handles and option names exactly as your store has them, because a mismatch there makes Shopify rebuild the variants.
