About this Gig
It takes courage to let others read your work and comment on it. So let me congratulate you on taking that step. As a beta reader, my part here is to read your novel and give detailed feedback on what works and doesn't.
My feedback includes comments on the following:
- the opening scene
- characterization and motivation
- plot and conflict
- setting/worldbuilding
- dialogue
- pacing
- craft
- overall impression
- and additional comments (if necessary).
If your novel exceeds 100K words, send me a message for a quote.
I'm a master's student and a working professional with over 6 years of experience in beta reading. Being an avid reader, I'm open to most genres. For YA and Romance novels, please check out my other gig.

In which format should I submit my work?
I would prefer PDF format, but if not, that's all right!
What genres do you read?
I read most fiction genres. I do not read non-fiction. You can message me to confirm if I am beta reading a specific genre.
Do you read unfinished books?
Yes, I do. Just remember to order the gig according to the word count limit set in the packages. If you're confused, shoot me a message and I'll help you out!
Do you take special requests?
I do, depending on what it is. Message me to explain the nature of your request and I'll let you know if it's within my ability to do so! For example, I delivered a special request that required me to react to the story like I would when watching a movie instead of critiquing it!
Do you beta read screenplays too?
I do! I have another gig made for screenplay beta reading so head on over there for more information.
Do you comment on grammar?
I do not. I am a beta reader, not an editor.
Privacy
You've worked extremely hard on your book and it's natural to worry about plagiarism and unsolicited distribution. I will never breach that trust and if needed, I am willing to sign an NDA.
