FAQ
What is mastering?
Mastering is the final step in the music production process. It enhances the overall sound of your track by optimizing loudness, clarity, balance, and dynamics, ensuring it sounds professional and translates well across all playback systems and streaming platforms.
Why is mastering important?
A professional master ensures your music sounds balanced, competitive, and ready for release. It helps your track maintain clarity, impact, and consistency whether it's played on headphones, car speakers, club systems, or streaming services.
Can you fix a bad mix?
Mastering can improve an already good mix, but it cannot fully fix major mixing issues. If I notice any significant problems, I'll let you know before mastering begins.
What files should I send, and how loud should I export my mix?
Please send a high-quality WAV or AIFF file (24-bit preferred) with at least -6 dB of headroom and no limiter or clipping on the master bus.
