Do I get full rights to the song?
If you purchase the "Full Buyout" (Exclusive Ownership) extra, you will get full rights/ownership of the song. If not, though you may have the song for personal use, the artist(s) retain full rights/ownership of the song.
Do I have commercial Rights
Yes, by default, you get Commercial Rights, meaning you can use the song for things like marketing and adverts, but the artist(s) still retain full rights/ownership of the song. To get exclusive ownership rights, purchase the ‘Full Buyout’ extra."
Do I have to purchase full rights if I write the song?
If you wrote the song, created the melody and the instrumental, you own it, and do not need to purchase full rights. However, if I create the melody, make the beat, and make edits that enhance the song, you will need to purchase the 'Full Buyout' (Exclusive Ownership) extra for exclusive rights.
How does the Distribution Rights extra work?
It gives you the right to place the song on digital stores with your name on it and collect streaming royalties. However, the artist(s) still retain ownership of the song, and will collect publishing and performance royalties on it. To own the song exclusively, purchase the 'Full Buyout' extra.
