Is this developmental editing?
This is a manuscript assessment, not a full developmental edit. I focus on big-picture story issues and actionable revision guidance rather than rewriting or editing every line.
Do you proofread or correct grammar?
No. I may point out recurring issues that affect readability, but this service does not include proofreading, copyediting, or line editing.
Will you leave comments in my manuscript?
The standard packages include a detailed feedback report with specific examples and chapter references. Inline comments can be added separately when available.
What does one revision include?
A revision covers clarification or reasonable adjustments to the feedback report based on the original manuscript. It does not include rereading a newly revised manuscript.
Can I send more words than my package includes?
Yes. Please message me before ordering and I can create a custom offer based on your manuscript’s total word count.
What genres do you accept?
I work with many types of fiction. If you are unsure whether your manuscript is a good fit, message me with the genre and a short description before ordering. I prefer relatively clean stories and will not critique explicit or overly graphic scenes.
Will you be honest if something is not working?
Yes. My goal is constructive honesty. I’ll explain both what is working and what may be weakening the reader experience, along with practical suggestions for improvement. If you have concerns with your story, I recommend the Basic 15,000 word package to start with.
Is my manuscript confidential?
Yes. Your manuscript and feedback are treated as confidential and will not be shared or published by me.
