I'm also co founder and chief editor of a literary magazine, where I edit and proofread our biannual publication and work with writers preparing their work for publication.
I'll check for:

I check grammar, spelling, punctuation, typos, missing words, capitalisation and basic consistency. I focus on correcting errors while preserving your writing style and voice.
Do you use tracked changes?
Yes. I use tracked changes so you can see every correction I make and decide whether to accept or reject it.
Will you change my writing style or voice?
No. This is strictly proofreading. I won't rewrite your prose or alter your individual writing style. Your voice stays yours.
Do you offer copyediting or rewriting?
Not as part of this Gig. Proofreading focuses on correcting errors rather than restructuring or rewriting your work.
What romance genres do you proofread?
I welcome most romance genres, including contemporary, historical, romantic comedy, fantasy, romantasy, sci fi, paranormal, sports and LGBTQ+ romance. Steamy and explicit romance is welcome. I don't currently accept dark romance.
Do you proofread full novels?
Yes. My Happily Ever After package covers up to 50,000 words. Please message me for a custom offer if your manuscript is longer.
Can you proofread an unfinished manuscript?
Yes. I'm happy to proofread works in progress. Please let me know when ordering so I understand that the manuscript may still be developing.
Do you proofread in British or American English?
Both. Please tell me your preferred spelling and language style when you order, and I'll follow it consistently.
