I specialize in horror, paranormal fiction, paranormal romance, dark fantasy, gothic horror, supernatural suspense, thriller, and Appalachian folk horror. I am also open to other fiction genres. Feel free to message me before ordering if you are unsure.
What will I receive after my beta read?
You will receive a detailed reader report with feedback on plot, pacing, character development, reader engagement, dialogue, strengths, weaknesses, and any areas that may be confusing to readers.
Do you provide proofreading or editing?
No. This gig is for beta reading and reader feedback only. I provide my thoughts as a reader and author, but I do not provide proofreading, copyediting, or developmental editing services.
Can I tell you what areas I want feedback on?
Absolutely! If you have concerns about pacing, characters, plot, dialogue, worldbuilding, horror elements, or any other aspect of your manuscript, let me know, and I will pay special attention to those areas.
What file formats do you accept?
I accept Microsoft Word documents (.doc and .docx), PDFs, and Google Docs links. Microsoft Word files are preferred because they are easiest to annotate with comments, but I can also work with PDFs or Google Docs depending on what is most convenient for you.
What is included in an "Additional Revision"?
An additional revision covers a re-read of up to 15,000 words of updated or rewritten scenes based on my initial feedback. I will provide a follow-up 1-page report detailing whether the tension, pacing, or plot clarity has improved in those specific areas only. It is not a full re-read of the novel
