Is your Middle Grade or YA novel ready for revision?
As a published author, I understand the long process of drafting and editing a book. That's why I want to help make your revision journey as smooth and enjoyable as possible! If you have completed your first or second draft, this is the perfect time to get a developmental edit of your book.
What is a developmental edit?
This is a high-level structural overview of your entire book, including the plot, character arcs, themes, flow, and pacing. I will read through your entire manuscript and objectively consider how well each element suits your book's genre and age level, the marketability of your premise, and story structure. I will provide a comprehensive editorial letter (5-8 pages, single spaced) with positive and constructive feedback that can elevate your story to the next level and help you catch the attention of agents, publishers, and readers. In addition, I'll make comments in the manuscript itself, to pinpoint specific areas that can be improved.

FAQ
What genres do you edit/critique?
I will happily work with most Middle Grade genres! That said, my favorites are Fantasy, Science Fiction, Steampunk, Adventure, and Mystery. For Young Adult, I strongly prefer fantasy. I am not the best fit for books with spicy romance or LGBTQ themes, extreme gore, or demonic elements.
What if my book is longer than 85,000 words?
If your manuscript is longer than the limit, please message me and together we can determine how best to serve your needs. Please note, at this time, I can't provide edits of books longer than 100,000 words.
Will you polish my AI-generated story? Do you use AI tools in your work?
No. I only work with human authors and I will never use any generative AI tools in my process.
