I will convert 3d scan to a clean parametric cad model

About this gig
Have you ever worked with a 3D scanner? Then you must be familiar with its output: a point cloud that captures all the deformations of the original part and that's assuming you took your time and scanned it correctly. If you manufacture a part based solely on scan data, you will end up with a part that inherits scanner noise and the deformations of the original.
That's where I come in. I recreate clean CAD models from 3D scan data, filtering out artifacts and deformations. I can also repair your broken part or design a new part that fits exactly where you need it.

FAQ
Do you provide fully parametric and editable CAD files?
Yes. Unlike "auto-surfacing" methods that create uneditable geometry, I reconstruct the model feature-by-feature using Design Intent. You will receive clean, manufacturing-ready files (STEP/IGES) or native Siemens NX files upon request.
How do you guarantee the accuracy of the final model?
I perform a detailed Deviation Analysis (Heat Map) for every project, comparing the final CAD model back to the original scan data. I maintain a precision of ±0.05mm for critical functional features and mating surfaces.
Can you correct defects or warpage from the physical part?
Definitely. This is a core part of my workflow. I align the part to logical axes and restore original design intent—making surfaces perfectly flat, holes perfectly round, and correcting any manufacturing warpage.
Which file formats can you provide?
I typically deliver high-quality STEP and IGES files for universal CAD compatibility. If you need native Siemens NX (.prt) files with history or Parasolid (.x_t), just let me know.
Why should I contact you before placing an order?
Reverse engineering complexity varies greatly depending on the geometry and required precision. To give you a fair and accurate quote, I need to evaluate your scan data (STL/OBJ) and understand your specific requirements first.
