Languages?
I’m a native Latvian speaker based in Latvia. I translate English → Latvian, Latvian → English, and Russian → Latvian. I don’t translate into Russian or from Russian into English.
Other services?
I also offer proofreading, transcription, and subtitles as timed .txt or .srt files. I have some experience with short voiceovers and can consider them on request, but voiceover work is not my specialty.
Pricing per word?
Standard: $0.0125/word for plain text/books. Formatted: $0.014/word for Word/Excel files. Complex/localization: $0.017–$0.03/word for CAT tools (e.g., Crowdin), dynamic code/variables, UI context, or explanatory comments.
Hourly rates?
Consultation calls for feedback or strategy: $25/hour. Live UI/app testing: $40/hour, including hands-on desktop/mobile flow testing and bug reports with screenshots.
Large projects?
For projects over 10,000 words or multi-stage apps, I recommend milestones with clear deliverables, such as glossary and UI strings first, then main content.
