About this Gig
note: $20 minimum order includes 3 minutes of melody transcription or 2 minutes of piano transcription.

I'm an academic and popular musician and I can help you:
- I can transcribe any song and create a sheet music. I accept home recordings, Youtube or audio files.
- I can transcribe lead melody, intermediate lines, bass, chords, accompanying arpeggios or anything else.
- I can create individual parts from a PDF score: Violin II, flute II, trombone I, etc. In small projects: each 50 measures in a part requires $5. Big projects: Ask for a discount.
- I will manually copy note by note for best results and I'll pay attention to any indication in score: Tempo, articulations, dynamics, rehearsal letter, lyrics, etc.
I can adapt music to another instrument (It could increase the price). Don't worry about register, clef, or transposing.
Basic $20 Gig includes:
- 2 minutes - polyphonic transcription (1 instrument like piano)
or
- 3 minutes - Melody transcription (1 instrument like flute, violin, trumpet...)

How much does piano transcription cost?
It requires at least $10 per minute. Some piano pieces are more complicated and require extra
How much does the transcription of the melodic instruments cost?
Instrumental tunes require at least $6.50 per minute. Some tunes are more complicated and require an extra.
How much does it cost to transcribe the vocal melody?
Same as an instrumental melody, $6.50 per minute, but must add $5 for syllable to note assignment
Should I provide the lyrics of the song?
Not as long as it's a popular and well-known song. In the case of original songs or new versions, the best option is to provide the lyrics of the song
Can you transcribe instrumental parts from a PDF file?
Yes, no problem. Each part may require $5 for every 50 active bars. You can request a discount on large projects
Can you work with handwritten sheet music?
Yes, no problem. Handwritten sheet music is sometimes difficult to understand, and this may require extra
What type of files does it deliver?
The most usual files are PDF, project file (Finale or Sibelius or MuseScore), XML, Midi and mp3 (from midi) just to help check notes
Will I receive a professional transcription?
Definitely yes. I have 40 years of experience with all types of sheet music. I am familiar with orchestral, popular and academic music. I also have training as a college professor in harmony, orchestration, musical analysis, piano, jazz etc.
