About this Gig
Are you setting up a new Active Directory environment or adding another domain controller to an existing domain?
I will install and configure Windows Server Active Directory Domain Services, including:
- AD DS role installation
- New forest and domain creation
- Additional domain controller promotion
- Active Directory-integrated DNS
- Global Catalog configuration
- Sites and Services review
- FSMO role review
- Replication and health validation
- Basic OU, user, group and Group Policy setup
- Handover documentation
The server must already have Windows Server installed, activated, patched and remotely accessible.
Basic includes a one-hour readiness review and deployment checklist. Standard includes one domain controller with DNS and validation. Premium includes primary and additional domain controllers with replication, Sites, GC and FSMO review.
This Gig does not include domain migrations, disaster recovery, Microsoft Entra hybrid integration, Exchange deployment, complex security hardening or large-scale user and computer migration.

FAQ
What is included in the Basic package?
The Basic package includes a one-hour readiness review of one Windows Server, covering hostname, IP addressing, DNS, time configuration, prerequisites and the proposed Active Directory design. You will receive a deployment checklist and recommendations.
Can you install Active Directory on an existing production server?
Please message me before ordering. I will first review the server roles, applications, dependencies and business impact. Installing a domain controller on a server already running other production workloads may not be advisable.
What access will you need?
Access can be provided through a supervised remote session or temporary administrative credentials for the Windows Server environment. Where required, I may also need access to DNS, virtualization or network configuration. Credentials should be temporary and changed after completion.
Does the server need to be prepared before the order starts?
Yes. Windows Server must already be installed, activated, patched and remotely accessible. A static IP address, working network connection and valid administrator access are also required.
Can you add a domain controller to an existing domain?
Yes. The Premium package can include an additional domain controller, DNS, Global Catalog, replication checks, Sites and Services review and FSMO placement review. Existing-domain faults or replication failures may require a separate troubleshooting order.
