About this gig
I will review a chapter of your audiobook and apply processing such as noise reduction and compression as well as check for noise floor and room tone at the beginning and end of files and bring them to ACX Audible specifications. The mastered file will be returned it to you for review. If you approve of the file I will master the remainder of your files. If your original recorded files are recorded in a way that I am able to correct any issues I will let you know and we will not proceed with the mastering process.

I recorded my book myself how do I know you can make it pass ACX review
You don't know and neither do I. That is why I we review a chapter of what you recorded. If there is excessive background noise, hiss, distortion etc. that I don't feel I can correct I will let you know and we will cancel the project.
How will I know if they files are to ACX standards?
The mastered files will measure between -23db and -18 db RMS and have a peak value that will not exceed -3db and maximum -60db noise floor. The files will be 192 kpbs mp3 files at a CBR of 44.1 khz and have up to 5 sec of room tone on each end. These are ACX standards.
Will you edit my narration and mistakes?
No. The files must be broken into individual chapters and all narration mistakes must be corrected and edited before sending the files to me for mastering. The basic audiobook Opening and closing files will not be considered a chapter and will be mastered at no extra charge.
