What is the difference between Docker and Podman?
Both run OCI containers and use the same Dockerfile format. Podman runs without a daemon and supports rootless containers out of the box, which makes it a better fit for security sensitive environments and RHEL or Fedora systems. I will recommend which one fits your setup.
What information do you need to get started?
Access to your source code (GitHub repo or zip), a description of the services your app depends on (database, cache, queue), and any specific requirements for the runtime environment.
Can you deploy the containerized app to my server?
Yes, deployment to a Linux server or VPS via SSH is available as an extra. For cloud managed services like AWS ECS or Azure Container Apps, message me for a custom quote.
What if my app uses a stack you haven't worked with?
Message me first and I will let you know. Docker works with almost any language or framework. If your stack needs something unusual, I will be upfront about it.
