Can you perform with an accent?
Yes, I can do accents (British, Irish, U.S. Southern and some extras) but I do not do them "authentically" (as I'm not from those regions).
If I don't like the delivery, will you re-record it?
This depends. If I made a mistake, I will re-record it at no cost. If you provided detailed instructions with samples and I failed to recreate that style, I will try again. However, if no clear direction was provided, re-recordings incur new charges.
Do I need to buy the Broadcast Rights add on?
If the voice over will be used in an ad that you pay to display or air on the internet, radio, television, streaming music or video service, social media site, etc., then yes. Broadcast Rights are a "full buy out" meaning that you own the rights to the recording. Otherwise I retain the rights.
Can you record a sample or audition before you start?
Sometimes, if time allows, I can do a quick sample. But the sample I deliver will be watermarked to protect myself from unlawful use.
Do you have your own music library?
No, I don't. If you want a background track added to your order, you must provide that stock music, which YOU HAVE THE LEGAL RIGHTS TO USE, when you provide the script and order instructions. Here's a great article: https://filmmakerfreedom.com/blog/stock-music-showdown-2018
What kind of microphone/equipment do you use?
I have a home studio with a well treated sound space, a broadcast quality microphone (a CAD E100 S XLR microphone), a Zoom H6 interface, a professional editing software (my DAW is Adobe Audition) and several years of voice over and acting training.
Can you do multiple takes in different styles?
Yes, you'll just need to multiply your word count by how many takes you'd like of each line. For example, if you have 100 words and want me to do three takes, then your order will be for 300 words.
