I build complex mechanical systems in SolidWorks the kind that actually have to work, not just look good in a render. Multi-DOF robotic arms, servo-driven joints, gear trains, cable routing, sensor housings if it needs to move, fit together, and survive real-world tolerances, that's my lane.
I don't just model parts. I think through the whole system: how the shoulder joint gearing interacts with the elbow servo assembly, how cable harnesses route without fouling motion, how a carbon fiber shell needs to balance weight against stiffness. Every assembly I deliver is built with real engineering intent proper mates, motion studies, collision checks, and simulation-ready structure not just a pretty static model.

What software and version do you work in?
I work primarily in SolidWorks (recent versions, fully compatible with 2021 and up). If you're on a different CAD platform, let me know — I can often export/import via STEP, IGES, or Parasolid depending on what you need.
: Can you design a mechanism from scratch, or do you need existing files to start?
Either works. Send me a rough sketch, reference images, a napkin drawing, or just a written description of what it needs to do — I'll build the concept from there. If you already have partial files or a competitor product to reference, that speeds things up even more.
Do you provide motion simulation and collision checking?
Yes. For any assembly with moving parts, I set up motion studies and run interference/collision detection before calling it done. You'll know it actually moves the way it's supposed to — not just that it looks right sitting still.
Will I get manufacturing-ready drawings, or just the 3D model?
Both, if you need them. I deliver the native SolidWorks assembly/part files plus 2D drawings with proper tolerancing and GD&T when the design calls for it. Just tell me your intended manufacturing process (CNC, injection molding, sheet metal, etc.) so the drawings match reality.
How do you handle revisions?
Revisions are part of the process, not an afterthought. I'd rather iterate with you a few times than deliver something that technically matches the brief but doesn't actually solve your problem. Reasonable revision rounds are built into every project
Can you work with complex multi-part assemblies (gearing, servos, cable routing, etc.)?
This is where I do my best work. Nested sub-assemblies, gear trains, servo integration, cable/harness routing, sensor housings — I think through how everything interacts, not just how each part looks on its own.
