I'm a published author of 10+ books in romance and fantasy, hitting Amazon's top 10 in fantasy and top 25 in romance. My feedback is constructive and kind. I will never tear your work apart. I will help your book meet your vision.

Budget Package: I will deliver a 5-page feedback letter on your book with actionable notes. There are no inline comments in this package, this is what helps me keep the budget down.
Premium Package: I will comment throughout your book (100+ genuine reactions, predictions, favorite-line callouts, and honest flags), and deliver a 5-page feedback letter. Commenting within the book doubles my time reading and is only included in the premium package.
Both tiers include a thorough letter, with categories depending on what the book needs. This can include pacing, character arcs, romantic threads, plot consistency, world-building, trope execution, and genre expectations!

Do you use AI to provide feedback?
Never! All feedback is from my human brain! You are paying for feedback to help your readers, so I'll read your book like any other reader would.
What am I getting with this gig?
Positive and constructive feedback in a 5-page letter and comments in your doc, if you get premium. Amount of comments varies, but some of what I may share are my favorite parts, reactions, predictions, and questions about the world. You'll have my actual reactions to your work.
What experiences qualify you for beta reading?
I have published over ten books across three pen names, hitting the top 25 charts of Amazon multiple times. My main genres are romance and fantasy, but I read widely, typically over 100 books a year. At one point, a small press offered me an editing position and I turned them down!
My book has spice in it, will you read it?
Yes, I'm happy to read books that have smut! I also take queer couple novels as well.
What format will I receive the feedback in?
I provide feedback on Google Docs (instead of Word) if your package includes comments. For the feedback letter, it is a PDF download.
What kind of feedback do you provide?
I share both good and constructive feedback. I will let you know what is most exciting about your work and am encouraging throughout the process, while also sharing where you can grow. My comments reflect why I gave that feedback, so you have examples.
Do you accept work with triggering content?
Yes, please provide a list of potentially triggering content in the gig requirements section after you order as this helps me know if your tone of voice suits the content and genre. I accept all kinds of smutty/explicit works, but message me if you have any questions or concerns before ordering.
Is this an editing gig?
I do not do line, developmental, or proofread edits. I may occasionally point out a common issue in those areas as feedback based on my experience with editors, but I am not an editor. Some of my clients say I work as well as a developmental editor for plot and story, but I am not trained as one.
Are you a sensitivity reader?
I am not a sensitivity reader, but if anything pops out to me as potentially problematic I will include it in my critique. I cannot guarantee I will be aware of any of these needs, so if this is a concern I recommend another gig.
Does my novel need to be edited first?
No! Beta reports are most helpful before you finish all your edits, as you have more information to guide your edits with reader reports.
