I will help you explain difficult work history in job interviews
About this Gig
A quick mock interview can help when your career history is simple.
My service is for the harder situations.
If you have been fired or dismissed, failed probation, had a short tenure, left after conflict, dealt with a difficult manager, faced unrealistic performance targets, been made redundant, or worry about what a former employer might say, interviews can feel much harder.
You may know you are capable, but still worry about explaining what happened without sounding defensive or negative.
This is not a one-off, generic practice call. You get more time & more support.
You send me your CV, job ad and concerns. I review them before we meet, then we work across multiple sessions to build a strategy, practise difficult questions and improve your answers.
The aim is to help you explain what happened, show what changed, and bring the conversation back to your strengths and fit for the role.
I am new to Fiverr, but not new to hiring, managing and leading people. I have built and sold businesses, led teams, managed hundreds of staff and worked in senior strategy roles.
Based in Victoria, Australia, on Melbourne time, with international-friendly sessions twice per week.

FAQ
How is this different from a standard mock/practice interview?
Most mock interviews practise generic questions. I focus on your real problem: what happened, how to explain it, and how an employer may react. Across multiple sessions, you get more time, more support, a clear strategy, and practice for the difficult questions.
Is this only for people with a difficult work history?
No. This is especially useful for difficult work history, but it is also for anyone who wants deeper interview support. I take time to understand your CV, target role and concerns, then help you build stronger answers.
Why should I work with you if you are new to Fiverr?
I am new to Fiverr, not new to hiring, managing or leading people. I have built and sold businesses, led teams, managed hundreds of staff and worked in senior strategy roles. My advice comes from real employer-side experience.
What should I send before we start?
Please send your CV/resume, the job ad or position description, and a short summary of the issues you want to work through. The more context you provide, the more targeted and useful the sessions will be.
How do the sessions work?
We review your role, background and concerns, then build a strategy. After that, we practise interview questions, improve weak answers, rerun difficult questions where needed, and prepare you to explain your situation clearly.
Can you help if I was fired, dismissed or failed probation?
Yes. These situations need careful handling. I help you give context, explain what changed, show what you learned, and bring the conversation back to your strengths and suitability for the role.
Can you help with a bad manager, conflict or unrealistic KPIs?
Yes. I help you separate facts from emotion, avoid sounding negative or defensive, and explain the situation calmly and professionally while keeping the focus on your value and fit for the role.
Can you help with reference concerns?
Yes. If you are worried about what a former employer or manager might say, we can work through the risk and build a practical strategy for interviews, referee selection and later-stage employer concerns.
Can you help with salary or offer negotiations?
Yes. We can prepare for salary questions, pay expectations and offer conversations. The aim is to help you respond professionally, avoid weakening your position too early, and negotiate with more confidence.
What happens if I miss a scheduled session?
Your session time is reserved for you. I will be available at the agreed time. If you do not attend and have not arranged a change in advance, that session may still be counted as used.
