Should I get an index created for my book?
An index adds a lot of use to the reader and therefor adds value to the the book. An author can increase the price of the book due to this added value.
Why are indexes so costly to get created?
Creating an index is the most time consuming part of the book editing process. Manuscripts are read through carefully, and index words and phrases are picked out. As each page is read, the index grows and the index itself becomes more complicated to work with. Its a purely a time issue.
Does my E-book need an index?
The majority of E-books do not have an index, this is because typically there are no pages - and readers can use the "Find" function. An index CAN be added to an Ebook, however it requires a specialized coding skill. I do not offer this service, and you are likely to find this to be super expensive
