What do you need from me to start?
Your borehole logs, SPT/CPT results, lab test results (e.g. grain size, Atterberg limits, shear strength, consolidation) and basic project details: location, structure type and loads. For analysis, please also share drawings or cross-sections.
Do you carry out site visits or field testing?
No. This is a desk-based service. I work from the field and lab data you provide. If data is missing, I will advise you on which tests are needed.
Which design codes do you follow?
Eurocode 7, ASTM, BS and AASHTO. I can follow your local code if you share it or name it.
Which software do you use?
PLAXIS 2D/3D and GeoStudio (SLOPE/W, SEEP/W, SIGMA/W) for analysis, and AutoCAD and Excel for figures and calculations.
Will you stamp or sign the report as the engineer of record?
No. My reports provide expert technical analysis and recommendations. Final approval and stamping should be done by a locally licensed engineer where your project requires it.
What format will I receive?
An editable Word file and a PDF, with tables, figures and soil profiles. Model files can be included in the Premium package on request.
Can you review a report prepared by someone else?
Yes. The Basic package covers a review with a clear summary of results, risks and recommended next steps.
