My expertise lies in fantasy stories, whether that be urban, young adult, spicy, or epic tales. I read extensively in this genre and have also written a book in this genre. I can also line edit other genres which I do not offer for my developmental editing services.
Every line editor has their own feedback style. With me, you can expect to see early chapters with extensive comments and highlights that provide examples and tips. In later chapters, you can expect to see highlights throughout and more occasional comments that speak to specific adjustments I haven't mentioned earlier. All of my line editing clients also get an edit letter where I speak in more depth about the comments and highlights in the document.

Does this include a copyedit?
Nope! I am not a trained copy editor and therefore do not provide grammatical or punctuation-based feedback.
What is a line edit?
A line-level edit looks to strengthen sentence structure, voice, tone, and word choice. Think of it as putting the frosting and decoration on an otherwise completed cake.
Why should I choose you?
I am genuinely passionate about books and storytelling and have extensive training in reviewing writer's work. I offer kindness and compassion with every edit, and I'll tell you if something isn't working, even if it requires a major re-write. I'm available for video calls as well if needed!
