About this Gig
I am a graphic designer in Canada with over 45 years experience, I can convert your old PageMaker files to PDF for archive purposes, or convert to InDesign format for you. A basic InDesign conversion will simply convert the PM file to INDD/IDML format for you to continue work on yourself, without regard to text reflow, missing graphic links, or missing fonts. A more detailed conversion will attempt to match the original layout as closely as possible.
Any conversion is only possible if all graphics links and fonts are available. Fonts will be replaced with as close a match as possible with those currently available. In any case, I will advise what is possible. Note: I am limited to Roman-language files.
Gig prices are a minimum for a single file. Additional files might be done at the same time for overall savings depending on their complexity. More complex or larger multi-pages files may require more time and effort and will be advised and quoted accordingly before proceeding.
Note: No conversion is 100% accurate due to the many changes in text handling and other technology over the years.
